Medical Technologist - Evenings - Everett
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs phlebotomy on both adult and pediatric patients.
- Performs testing in Chemistry, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine.
- Performs and evaluates Quality Controls.
- Participates in Proficiency testing.
- Troubleshoots basic instrument problems.
- Receives and processes a variety of laboratory specimens and utilizes the Meditech computer system for data entry; computerized worksheets and interfaces are used in the performance of testing.
- Performs both STAT and Routine testing in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assists the manager in the development of new methods and evaluates cost feasibility as required.
- Trains new employees in department procedures and policies.
- Participates in department meetings.
- Works with fellow staff members to analyze workflow processes and conduct QI audits.
- On-call coverage responsibilities.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum education: BS/MT required.
- Registration/certification as MT (ASCP), MLS, AMT, or HEW required at time of hire.
- Additional preferences: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Fluency in the English language.

Commensurate with experience.
Pay
$38.64 - $59.49 per hour
Schedule
M-F rotating weekends, holidays, on-call

The CHA laboratory provides everything from routine blood and urine tests to special tissue evaluation. The CHA laboratory is part of the Lab at CHA Everett Hospital.
