Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist - FT - Night

About the role

Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, exercising independent judgment to ensure accurate results, maintain equipment, and document records. May supervise and teach laboratory staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Analyze, investigate, interpret, and report lab data aligning with clinical findings.
• Ensure proper specimen identification and document QA investigations.
• Report lab data accurately within turnaround times, recognizing clinical relationships.
• Monitor information, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and inspection readiness.
• Adhere to safety standards, policies, and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
• Minimum one year laboratory experience preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in computer/data entry, MS Office, with experience in Epic and 3M preferred.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of laboratory regulations and safety standards.

• Engage in meetings, committees, and ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and codes of conduct.
