Medical Technologist - Automated Lab - 40 hrs - Days

About the role
Join our Automated Lab Team at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will perform and report a wide range of routine and highly complex analyses across multiple lab sections—directly impacting patient diagnosis, treatment decisions, and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Determine normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
- Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
- Ensure operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Requirements
- BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology.
- MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP certification, or must be eligible to take the certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
- New graduates welcome.
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
Schedule
40 hours per week, Day Shift, with rotating weekends and holidays.
