Responsibilities

- Operate equipment carefully and according to procedures; maintain laboratory automation equipment per established operating procedures. - Perform necessary equipment checks, performance testing, preventive maintenance, and quality control on equipment per laboratory guidelines, as assigned. - Ensure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures. - Maintain complete documentation for assay tracking and results for review/reporting. - Complete the performance of proficiency testing in assigned laboratory sections. - Follow unidirectional flow of specimen handling to avoid contamination. - Possess good laboratory and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Qualifications

- NYS license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist required. - Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or similar degree preferred. - ASCP license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred. - Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality control procedures. - Experience working in a clinical laboratory or research setting is desirable. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay

$33- $59 an hour - This is for the Farmingdale location only for levels I through Senior. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education/training, and skill level. You may be eligible for a bonus, stock compensation and commissions in some cases depending on your role and performance.
