Position Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all tasks, and attention to detail
- Read, write, and comprehend medical information
- Effectively present information, both verbally and in writing
- Use computer and telephone
- Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results
- Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone
- Adhere to CORE, LLC policies and procedures
- Follow departmental Quality Assurance procedures
- Perform Respirator Fit testing
- Perform Pulmonary Function Test
- Obtain basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs
- Administer intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician
- Perform collection of vital signs
- Perform visual acuity and color testing
- Perform urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements
- Perform safe venipuncture
- Perform urine dipstick testing
- Perform 12 lead EKGs
- Perform audiometric screening
- Perform other duties as required
Position Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certificates with state license (preferred)
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees
- Previous Occupational Medicine experience (preferred)
Benefits
This is a full time position working Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:30pm with an on-call after hours rotation one week per month.
