Medical Staff Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Support a busy Medical Staff Office by assigning tasks to assigned Medical Staff Departments.
- Facilitate all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring, and competencies.
- Interface with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience, Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $24 to $34.76. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
