Medical Staff Coordinator

About the role

The Medical Staff Coordinator supports medical staff activities and special projects for all physicians and health care affiliates within MultiCare Health System hospitals and MultiCare Medical Group and Managed Care. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and preparation of medical staff functions
• Preparation for committee meetings, taking minutes
• Processing and distributing appropriate correspondence
• Credentialing and re-credentialing process coordination
• Facilitating aspects of credentialing including appointment, reappointment, monitoring FPPE/OPPE and privileging for medical staff and allied health practitioners

Requirements

• College course work or vocational training preferred
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services, or in the process leading to certification within 18 months from the date of hire
• Minimum three (3) years of credentialing experience in acute care setting or directly related experience
• Credentialing database experience preferred
• Echo credentialing database preferred

Pay and Benefits

Competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $27.36 - $39.38 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
