Medical Staff Coordinator

About the role

The Medical Staff Coordinator supports medical staff activities and special projects for all physicians and health care affiliates within MultiCare Health System hospitals and MultiCare Medical Group and Managed Care. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and prepares medical staff functions, including taking minutes for committee meetings.
• Facilitates aspects of credentialing including appointment, reappointment, monitoring FPPE/OPPE and privileging for medical staff and allied health practitioners.
• Works under the supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services to support medical staff activities and special projects.

Requirements

• College course work or vocational training preferred.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services, or in the process leading to certification within 18 months from the date of hire.
• Minimum three (3) years of credentialing experience in an acute care setting or directly related experience.
• Credentialing database experience preferred.
• Echo credentialing database preferred.

Pay

$63,232.00 - $91,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
