Medical Staff Associate - RN/LPN/LVN/AEMT/Paramedic (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, including administering medication or treatments in accordance with licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine suitability for plasma donation.
• Respond to medically related questions and provide information to staff on donor suitability in conjunction with the Center Medical Director.
• Review test results and assess continued donor suitability; evaluate donor symptoms that may prevent donation continuation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors to community facilities for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); escalate critical medical situations to the Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduated from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state-certified as an emergency medical technician.
• For NY: Current state licensure or certification as an RN, MD, or DO in the state of application or a reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to perform and analyze physical assessments, including heart and lung sounds, and signs of drug use.
• CPR Certification required.
• Different qualifications or responsibilities may apply based on local legal and/or educational requirements.

Pay

The expected base pay for this position at hiring is:

• AEMT: $22.77 - $31.88 per hour
• Paramedic: $26.82 - $37.54 per hour
• LPN/LVN: $28.90 - $40.47 per hour
• RN: $36.00 - $50.40 per hour

Individual base pay within this range is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies, and other relevant factors.
