Medical Staff Associate - LPN

Responsibilities

• Greet and register new plasma donors into the donor management computer system
• Conduct screening procedures, including taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and arm checks
• Perform finger sticks for hematocrit and total protein testing using screening equipment
• Monitor the electronic donor questionnaire system
• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and education on donation risks and informed consent
• Provide counseling to donors regarding unacceptable test results
• Initiate and assist in donor investigations related to Post Donation Information
• Evaluate and respond to donor adverse events during the donation process
• Follow standard operating procedures for medical emergencies, including communication with the Center Medical Director and donor transport to emergency care facilities
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and company procedures
• Maintain open communication with management and a professional demeanor during interactions with donors, employees, and vendors
• Accept performance feedback professionally
• Attend all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum one (1) year of work experience preferred
• Active license or certification in the state of practice as: EMT (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, or Paramedic), LPN, LVN, RN, NP, or PA
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
