Medical Social Worker

Responsibilities

As a Medical Social Worker, you will utilize social work expertise and clinical knowledge to educate patients on the best choices for treatment, health, and wellness when living with kidney disease to enhance their quality of life. You will support the social and emotional well-being of patients at Satellite Healthcare.

• Conduct psychosocial assessments.
• Participate in care planning and team review of the patient's current psychosocial needs.
• Provide management of services to patients to assist them in coping with issues associated with chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatments.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited CSWE institution (MSW required).
• LCSW/ACSW required, LCSW preferred (CA). Licensure/LMSW required in states with licensure (TX, TN).
• One (1) year of work experience in a behavioral or healthcare-related setting, preferred.
• Preferable experience in other health and human services fields; medical experience is highly desirable.
