Medical Scribe

About the role

This position provides quality service to patients and providers in the clinic via accurate, complete, and optimal medical record documentation. The position responsibilities are both medical and administrative. Primarily, the scribes will serve as a personal assistant to a healthcare provider, and member of the health care team. Scribes will mainly be responsible for completing the patients’ medical records as dictated by the health care provider and guided by principles of EMR meaningful use, and Wright Center operational policies and procedures. All documentation is to be approved by and completed under the direction of the provider. This position reports to the Enterprise Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with provider tendencies and provider’s established patient’s condition
• Accompanies the provider into the patient exam room in order to transcribe history and physical exam as stated by the provider during the interview and examination of the patient.
