About the role
The Medical Scribe will assist rheumatology providers in documenting patient visits accurately and in real-time within the electronic health record.
Responsibilities
- Document patient histories, symptoms, examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, laboratory results, referrals, and follow-up instructions.
- Prepare charts and locate medical records and test results.
- Ensure all documentation is complete and ready for provider review.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong typing, spelling, and organizational skills.
- Medical office, scribe, or electronic health record experience preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Dependable, professional, and capable of working in a fast-paced clinic.
Qualifications
- Rheumatology experience and familiarity with Practice Fusion are preferred but not required.
