About the role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Medical Screener. The Medical Screener plays a vital role in donor eligibility by conducting health screenings, performing medical tests, and ensuring donor safety and comfort throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Perform donor screening procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct health history interviews and measure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) to assess donor eligibility.
- Verify donor identification and accurately document information in the electronic system.
- Greet and engage donors to provide a positive and comfortable experience.
- Adhere strictly to infection control, safety protocols, and donor confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous plasma experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficient in computer skills for data entry and electronic record management.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, composure under pressure, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Physical Capabilities: Comfortable working around whole blood, blood plasma, and bio-waste.
