Position Overview

Veradermics is seeking a mission-driven, field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our growing Medical Affairs team. Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, the MSL will be responsible for building trusted, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and regional physicians, supporting clinical development and launch readiness, and generating field insights across a high-impact dermatology pipeline. This is a hands-on, external-facing role that blends deep scientific acumen with strong communication skills and collaborative execution.

Candidate Profile

  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, NP, PA or equivalent) required.
  • 2+ years in a Medical Science Liaison role or comparable field-based scientific role; dermatology or aesthetics strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional public speaking and formal presentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster scientific credibility and trust with external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role while thriving in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial processes, medical compliance, and CRM documentation tools.
  • Based in Southeastern US with ability to travel up to 60%.

Scientific Exchange and Stakeholder Engagement

Own medical affairs activities across the Southeastern US region, including KOL engagement, advisory board execution, and insight generation. Develop and execute a territory-level engagement plan, including identification, prioritization, and relationship strategies for KOLs and dermatology influencers. Conduct fair-balanced, non-promotional scientific exchange on disease state awareness, clinical trial data, and pipeline updates. Attend and support medical congresses, advisory boards, and regional educational meetings as a Veradermics field representative.

Internal Collaboration and Medical Content Support

Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned execution. Contribute to the development of medical slide decks, FAQs, training materials, and field tools. Support internal training initiatives, especially related to product science, competitive landscape, and dermatology education.

Compliance and Documentation

Ensure all interactions comply with Veradermics' medical governance policies, company SOPs, and external regulatory standards. Document all external interactions and field activities in CRM systems in a timely and accurate manner. Track and report territory-level activity, KOL engagement metrics, and insight trends to Medical Affairs leadership.

We are incredibly conscious of creating a comfortable, flexible environment that cultivates the desire to be engaged, ask questions, and feel a vested interest in our team's success.

Location and Travel

  • Travel: Up to 60%, including KOL meetings, advisory boards, internal meetings in New Haven, and attendance at scientific conferences.
