About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) bridges Supernus and the medical community, focusing on the care and treatment of patients with neurologic disorders (including movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, etc.). The role functions as a clinical and scientific expert, educating healthcare professionals (HCPs), building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and collecting real-world insights related to movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurologic conditions and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with regional and national KOLs and HCPs across academic centers, healthcare systems, and community healthcare systems.
• Function as the subject matter expert on scientific, clinical, and pharmacologic information for relevant neuroscience specialty areas.
• Provide scientifically accurate, compliant responses to unsolicited requests for medical information.
• Identify, develop, and execute regional territory plans for compliant medical personnel engagement aligned with Medical Affairs (MA) strategies.
• Assist the Medical Affairs Department and the Medical Team in field-based operations, including congresses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Commercial Sales and Marketing, Corporate Accounts, R&D, Regulatory, and Legal.
• Participate in strategic initiatives and Medical Affairs projects.
• Establish self as an internal subject matter expert on relevant therapeutic areas.
• Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• MD, PharmD, PhD, or Doctor of Nursing, or other neuroscience degree with a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous clinical and/or clinical research in neurosciences preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high ethical standards of integrity and quality.
• Innovative and dynamic approach to work.
• Self-starter comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to consistently exhibit Supernus Values in interactions with employees, vendors, customers, and others.
• Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Work Environment

• Travel required: up to 50-75%, including some international travel.
• Remote position requiring routine access to an adequately private work location for compliant discussion of confidential information.
• Primarily sedentary work; may require exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects.
• Requires adequate close visual acuity for extensive reading, data analysis, transcribing, and extended screen use (computer, iPad, or other electronic devices).
• Requires adequate distance visual acuity for viewing presentations in large conference rooms.
• Not expected to involve substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Pay

The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates is $141,000 to $175,000. An individual’s salary within this range is based on factors such as education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience, and organizational needs.
