About the role: UCB is seeking a clinically experienced, science-driven, and patient-focused Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to work on the Epilepsy & Rare Syndromes team for the Gulf Coast geography.
Responsibilities
- Stay current with research and clinical data related to epilepsy and rare syndromes.
- Execute targeted stakeholder engagement strategies to identify local needs and opportunities.
- Provide meaningful medical insights to support medical strategies and initiatives.
- Represent UCB at scientific conferences and educational events.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance patient care and contribute to medical projects as needed.
- May lead/support other Medical Affairs projects or activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an MSL or minimum of 3 years of direct clinical experience in relevant therapeutic area or 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 60-80% in the designated territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in epilepsy and/or rare syndromes.
- Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to actively listen, identify opportunities, and deliver solutions.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
Benefits
This role requires 70-80% in-field engagement across the Gulf Coast region. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
Pay
The reasonably anticipated salary range for this role is $134k-$204k per year.
Schedule
This role is hybrid with 40% of your time spent in the office.
