Medical Science Liaison - Metabolic (Mid Atlantic)

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Science Liaison - Metabolic (Mid Atlantic) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This remote MSL role will serve as a strategic scientific partner across the Mid Atlantic, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and health authorities. The position will focus on delivering objective clinical and disease-state education, gathering field insights, and supporting medical initiatives that advance understanding of rare metabolic diseases. You will also collaborate closely with internal medical teams to inform strategy, support scientific exchange, and help enable education and research activities. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $153,000 – $199,200 annually Responsibilities Participate in medical meetings and build professional relationships with attendees Deliver objective clinical presentations to healthcare professionals upon request Identify and engage speakers for educational programs using approved materials Support regional medical initiatives, such as advisory boards, as needed Provide market insights and competitive analysis to management Establish and maintain relationships with key health authorities and organizations Facilitate timely submissions for medical educational grants and research requests Qualifications Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) with 2+ years of MSL experience Experience with orphan products or rare diseases, especially Phenylketonuria Skilled in working with KOLs and establishing credibility in academic settings Proficient in interpreting and presenting scientific data to diverse audiences Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical information Understanding of the pharmaceutical delivery process and patient access Independent worker who excels in collaborative, fast-paced environments Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage offered to all eligible employees Retirement savings plans available as part of the benefits package Potential for short- and long-term incentives based on performance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
