Medical Science Liaison - Gastroenterology - Southwest

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Science Liaison - Gastroenterology - Southwest to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders on medical and scientific information exchange through one-on-one and group interactions
• Articulate the medical and scientific value of products to external experts based on a strong disease management background
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance medical and safety evaluations, positioning, and compliance
• Gather insights from stakeholder interactions to inform internal medical strategies

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific field (MD, PhD, Pharm D) preferred; RN/MS with Gastroenterology Specialty required
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical, Medical Science Liaison, or relevant clinical practice experience preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical decision-making and healthcare systems related to patient care
• Proven ability to interpret scientific data for educational and research needs
• Exemplary communication and presentation skills
