Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the scientific subject-matter expert for AvertD and PreScript PGx, including clinical evidence, validation data, intended use, limitations, and appropriate patient selection.
- Engage healthcare providers, health systems, payors, and KOLs in scientific exchange related to opioid risk stratification, pharmacogenomics, and precision medicine.
- Present and discuss clinical data, validation studies, real-world evidence, and health-economic considerations in a compliant, non-promotional manner.
KOL & Thought Leader Development
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with national, regional, and local KOLs in surgical specialties, pain management, addiction medicine, primary care, and population health.
- Support investigator-initiated research, real-world evidence generation, and post-approval clinical activities aligned with company strategy.
- Facilitate advisory boards, scientific roundtables, and educational programs as needed.
Medical Education & Training
- Provide scientific training and education to internal teams (Sales, Market Access, Leadership) on clinical evidence, appropriate use, and evolving standards of care.
- Support external educational initiatives, including grand rounds, CME-style programs (where appropriate), and scientific conferences.
Market & Insights Generation
- Collect and synthesize actionable medical insights from the field to inform clinical strategy, product development, regulatory planning, and market access.
- Monitor emerging literature, guidelines, and competitive scientific developments relevant to opioid risk assessment and pharmacogenomics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to support scientific discussions while maintaining clear role separation and compliance boundaries.
- Collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate and consistent scientific messaging.
- Support payor and health-system discussions where deep clinical or scientific expertise is required (e.g., medical director discussions).
Scientific Communications
- Support development and review of scientific materials, including slide decks, white papers, posters, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications.
- Represent SOLVD Health at scientific congresses and professional meetings.
