Medical Science Liaison
About the role
The Medical Science Liaison I (MSL) will assist in supporting academic and community physicians (KOLs) by providing education on the latest research and clinical data to promote the company’s products. The MSL I will help engage with community and academic providers, including KOLs to educate and assist them in preparing materials for scientific events, conferences, and speaker training. This role will also involve supporting marketing, sales, and other teams with clinical expertise, as well as assisting in research triage with KOLs in Northern Florida territory.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain professional relationships with community and academic healthcare providers, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and to help educate them on the company’s diagnostic technologies and products.
- Aid in the development and presentation of educational materials (slides, research summaries, etc.) for scientific events and conferences.
- Support the coordination and delivery of presentations at academic and scientific meetings, including regional conferences and grand rounds, ensuring content aligns with company goals.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing teams to provide clinical insights on product data, benefits, and market positioning.
- Engage with KOLs and healthcare professionals to drive product awareness and a thorough understanding of the clinical utility of our products.
- Aid in organizing forums and events for community and academic physicians to discuss clinical challenges and potential product improvements.
- Provide updates, briefings, and contribute to team meetings by sharing the latest research findings and product information.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a university degree and 5 years of related experience; 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD.
- Basic knowledge or experience in medical science, oncology, or a related field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Willingness to travel up to 75% to meet with healthcare providers, attend events, and conferences.

Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires.

- Primary Location: Remote-USA-FL Base Pay Range: $145,000 - $199,350

Schedule
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
