About the role
The Medical Response Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons, employees, and the company's assets. They are responsible for maintaining security, coordinating emergency situations, providing basic medical care, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of emergency medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain security throughout the entire property.
- Aid in the coordination of emergency situations.
- Provide emergency medical care within the limits of certification.
- Disinfect and maintain cleanliness of EMS equipment, supplies, and treatment rooms.
- Conduct themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
- Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report any unusual situations or suspicious persons.
- Document all medical calls thoroughly.
- Complete required checklists for inventory and inspections of supplies and equipment.
- Notify a supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or supplies and report missing supplies.
- Replace supplies as necessary and report to a supervisor.
- Communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally with guests and all levels of team members.
- Work within Company established policies and guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of guest service experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to handle emergency situations calmly.
- Ability to wear a radio earphone without any medical limitations.
- Willingness to handle bodily fluids and potentially hazardous situations.
- Valid Motor Vehicle License with a good driving record.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer applications to compose clear, concise, and accurate reports.
- Available to work different types of events with varying time schedules, on varying days as needed.
- Ability to assist sick or injured guests and/or team members.
- Read and comprehend all necessary documentation, training materials, and policy information.
- Communicate clearly, in English, with guests in a professional manner.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
Skills
Must be able to handle emergency situations calmly, communicate clearly, and maintain a friendly customer-oriented demeanor at all times.
