Medical Records Specialist

A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide temporary support to the HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources, recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement while supporting a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in recruiting and hiring activities
- Collect, track, and upload compliance documentation
- Prepare new hire folders and onboarding materials
- Maintain employee personnel files, including new hire and termination records
- Afford assistance with employee transfer letters and other HR documentation
- Update and maintain organizational charts
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties
- Prepare check requests and allocate department expenses
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
- Afford assistance with special HR projects as needed
- Support employee recognition programs, including birthdays and work anniversaries
- Afford assistance with newsletters and internal communications
- Afford assistance with coordinating employee engagement initiatives and events
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of administrative, HR, recruiting, or related experience (internship experience accepted)
- Strong organizational and data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general administrative functions
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
