About the role
Mitchell County Regional Health Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital in Osage, Iowa, serving a population of 10,600 people. The center includes a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room and operates three clinics, 24/7 emergency services, inpatient, and outpatient medical/surgical services. Responsibilities
- Converts physical patient charts into digital Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Affirms accuracy and organization of historical paper documentation for easy retrieval by healthcare providers.
- Maintains strict compliance with privacy laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and standard office equipment like high-volume scanners.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology to properly categorize documents.
- Ability to manage large backlogs of paperwork and maintain a systematic workflow.
- Physical stamina to sit for long periods and occasionally lift boxes of records (up to 25–50 lbs).

Benefits
Flexible hours with the option to be a PRN position. Shifts are from Sunday through Saturday. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour, with increases based on experience.
