Medical Records Nurse (LPN/RN)

Candidate must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN). On-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Work with physicians, office staff, nursing management, and staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training.
  • Ensure the medical record is complete and accurate.
  • Teach and motivate staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the database and records comply with company, Federal, and State guidelines.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership to ensure all records are obtained and maintained in the EMR.
  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents and staff.
  • Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence) to residents, family members, customers, and staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN or LPN).
  • Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term care industry.
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care, or geriatric nursing setting.
