Role: Medical Records Coder 2
Responsibilities
- Review clinical documentation for inpatient and outpatient records
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes
- Ensure proper DRG/APC assignment for reimbursement and reporting
- Collaborate with providers for documentation clarification
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards
- Work within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Qualifications & Skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding
- Knowledge of medical coding guidelines and coding systems
- Strong communication skills for provider collaboration
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and quality reporting
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance
