About the Role
Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
- Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
- Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system
- Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
- Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
- Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
- Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
- Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
- Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintains and Models the Organizational values.
- Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum six months of experience.
- Ability to travel between practices as needed.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
- Data Entry
- Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
Pay
$19.54 - $37.94 Hourly
Schedule
Monday - Friday - 7:45am - 5:30pm; hours vary based on department needs and are subject to change.
