About the Role
Tunnell Government Services, Inc. provides specialized technical and expert regulatory review support services to the Division of Radiological Imaging and Radiation Therapy Devices (DHT8C) within the FDA CDRH Office of Radiological Health. This part-time role (approximately 23 hours/month) supports the review of pre-market submissions and post-market/compliance activities for radiation oncology and radiologic imaging devices.
The types of pre-market regulatory submissions include 510(k), PMA, Pre-IDE, IDE, and 513(g) submissions. Post-market/compliance activities include Recalls, Establishment Inspection Reports (EIR), Electronic Product Radiation Control (EPRC), Medical Device Reports (MDR), and Trade Complaints. This role is contingent upon contract award.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field.
- Board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or Certification in Medical Physics is preferred.
- Recent experience as a clinical therapy physicist (3 of the last 5 years preferred).
- 15–20 years of total experience in Medical Physics.
- Experience across all aspects of radiation oncology physics, including quality assurance, external beam, and brachytherapy clinical support.
- FLASH experience is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
