Medical Physicist

About the role

This is a fixed term 3 month position based at the ARO Campus (Melbourne). The position is suitable for a newly certified Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist or recent Medical Physics graduate/PhD student. The successful applicant may be required to take part in some shift work and to take on some on-call duties at the discretion of the Chief Physicist. Position classification will be based on candidate's qualifications and experience.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• A postgraduate Degree in Physics or related field with some experience in Radiotherapy Physics.
• Eligibility for Ordinary Membership of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM).

Desirable

• A current Victorian driver’s licence
• Previous experience in a clinical environment
• Prior clinical experience in Medical Physics (preferably Radiotherapy Physics)
• Some working knowledge of specialised radiotherapy software (e.g. TPS, OIS)
• Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ACPSEM, DABR, IMPCB, HCPC, ABMP, CCPM)
