Responsibilities
- Calibrate therapy equipment for accurate radiation dose delivery
- Direct patient radiation dose distribution determination
- Lead acceptance testing of new equipment and treatment devices
- Design and construct patient treatment aids and special devices
- Oversee the radiation safety program for the oncology department
- Participate in equipment planning, evaluation, and budget preparation
- Maintain records for regulatory agencies and review department policies
Qualifications
- Compliance with ABR Standard for Continuing Medical Education
- Master's, PhD, or DMP in relevant field
- ABR certification required
- Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics and Radiological Physics preferred
