Medical Optometrist | Part Time

About the role

Location: 12121 Richmond Ave, Suite 220 Houston, TX 77082. Some travel to our Sugar Land location as needed. The role is in a medical setting primarily responsible for increasing the care of patients, with potential assistance in pre-op and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams using a full range of optometry instruments and techniques.
• Determine visual requirements for patients by prescribing corrective lenses, low vision aids, and other treatments in accordance with state laws.
• Diagnose visual diseases, disorders, and deficiencies.
• Build strong doctor-patient relationships.
• Handle eye health emergencies.
• Maintain updated and accurate medical records of all patients.

Requirements

• State Optometrist Licensure.
• Board Certification.
• Experienced Optometrist preferred.
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects.
• Proven ability to explain and discuss medical terms simply and calmly.
