Job Summary
As our Medical Oncology Physician, you will diagnose, stage, and treat cancer using systemic therapies and lead multidisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. You will develop personalized treatment plans, manage complex patient cases, provide symptom management, and coordinate long-term follow-up and survivorship care.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and stage cancer through patient examination, biopsies, imaging, and test interpretation.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and nurses for comprehensive care coordination.
- Monitor patients, manage side effects, and coordinate palliative/supportive care.
- Provide long-term follow-up for recurrence screening and survivorship care plans.
- Participate in Tumor Boards and facilitate access to clinical trials.
- Adhere to AMA medical ethics and relevant specialty board standards.
- Leverage Physician Group resources to optimize efficiency.
Required Job Requirements
- MD or DO required
- Successful completion of an accredited residency and fellowship aligned with specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology
- Ability to obtain Medical Staff privileges within the health system
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Colorado (or ability to obtain)
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration #HEC
Pay
$250.00 - 283.97 /hour
