At Good Neighbor Community Health Center, our front office team plays a critical role in helping patients access care with dignity, compassion, and professionalism. We are looking for friendly Medical Office Specialists who enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a mission-driven healthcare team that serves the community every day.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily front office operations and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient.
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls as needed.
  • Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify and update patient information in the medical record.
  • Collect co-pays and patient payments.
  • Absorb and assist patients with payment plan processes.
  • Cookordinate communication between patients and clinical staff.
  • Support billing and administrative workflows.
  • Help maintain an organized and positive front office environment.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a medical office, clinic, dental office, hospital, banking, retail, hospitality, or customer service setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or insurance processes.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and fast-paced environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional bending, lifting, and reaching (up to 35 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity for operating office equipment (computer, phone, copier).
  • Adequate vision and hearing to perform job duties.
