Job Summary
As a Medical Office Professional, you will provide essential administrative support for a smooth patient experience. Your responsibilities include managing patient reception, scheduling appointments, handling calls, guiding check-in/out, verifying demographics, processing payments, and ensuring clear communication between patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments
- Scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments
- Communicating with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
- Collecting insurance information and patient personal data
- Making collections such as co-pays/co-insurance
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous surgery scheduling experience
- Computer and applications software experience
Preferred
- Some college courses
