About the Adult and Family Services Program

The Adult and Family Services (AFS) Therapy Program is ReDiscover’s outpatient therapy department, offering clinicians the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across the community. Our team supports clients of all ages, backgrounds, and needs — including those who may have struggled to access care elsewhere. Responsibilities

  • Greet members, vendors, couriers, job applicants, and other visitors in a consistent, professional, and friendly manner, adhering to proper security protocol and logging activity.
  • Answer phone calls in a timely and welcoming manner and courteously direct calls to the appropriate personnel or program.
  • Abide by all HIPAA laws and maintain confidentiality for all clients and medical records.
  • Ensure the headquarters lobby is constantly staffed during agreed business hours and maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Manage schedules accurately for new appointments, check-ins, and follow-ups.
  • Verify insurance, personal information, and account balances. Collect fees when required.
  • Ensure that new charts are ready for use and packets are prepared for programs.
  • Accurately enter information into the EMR (e.g., financial information, assessment forms, billing).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Previous experience handling a large volume of incoming calls as a receptionist preferred.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs, as well as the use of email.

Schedule

Full-time schedule (40 hours a week), Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
