Job Summary
The Medical Office Receptionist is responsible for managing the front office daily activities for their practice location, ensuring quality customer service to in-person and remote patients and clinicians.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence
- General office duties, cleanliness, and appeal
- Communicate with peers, clinicians, and patients
- Patient Support
- Manage front desk responsibilities
- Support patients with requests
- Handle urgent requests; triage patient issues and resolution
- Collect all in-person and telehealth co-payments and account balances
- Complete insurance eligibility verification and resolve issues
- Clinician Support
- Assist clinicians with administrative questions
- Coordinate with clinicians for additional patient questions
- Audit clinician schedules for appointment accuracy
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using Computer Software Applications (Microsoft Office & EMRs)
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential Information (HIPAA)
Education And Experience
- High School or equivalent required
- Associates/bachelor’s degree, preferred
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role or setting preferred
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, bend, talk, and hear
- Frequently walk
- Lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
Compensation
$21.00 - 22.00/hour, plus quarterly bonus/incentive potential
