Medical Office Assistant - Oncology & Hematology - Full Time with Benefits
About the role
The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) performs office administration duties to include clerical and operational support to the physicians and practice. This role may also perform limited clinical duties. The duties will be assigned as needed to assist with the clinic daily operations. Will perform duties while interacting with patients in person and over the phone, faxing, filing, verifying insurance, collecting copay's, and conducting referrals.
Requirements
- Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills towards patients of different age categories
- Models sensitivity to patients, including effective telephone and verbal communication in emergency situations
- Demonstrates effective good oral/writing skills
- Must possess keyboard/computer skills
- CPR certification required within 90 days of employment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records system
- Previous medical receptionist experience

Pay
Hourly rate $18.09-$24.24. Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or overtime paid, if applicable.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, with start times of 7:30am, 8:00am, or 8:30am and corresponding end times of 4:00pm, 4:30pm, or 5:00pm (with 30 minutes for lunch).
