Key Responsibilities

  • Take and defend fact witness, treating physician, expert, and party depositions
  • Handle routine court appearances, status conferences, case management conferences, and hearings
  • Manage medical malpractice and wrongful death matters through various stages of litigation
  • Review medical records and case materials to prepare for depositions and hearings
  • Draft motions, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents as needed
  • Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on case strategy and case management
  • Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and meet all litigation deadlines

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania bar admission required
  • Prior experience handling medical malpractice defense and/or wrongful death litigation matters
  • Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions
  • Experience appearing independently at routine hearings and court conferences
  • Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania civil litigation procedures
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
