About the role
We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join the team in a Medical Lead role. This position combines hands-on clinical practice (80–90%) with medical leadership responsibilities (10–20%), guiding clinical standards, supporting complex case direction, and contributing to quality of care initiatives across the hospital. Prior leadership experience is a bonus but not required; what matters most is strong clinical judgment, collaborative communication, and a passion for excellent medicine.
As Medical Lead, you will:
- Provide high-quality small-animal medicine across general practice, surgical, and urgent/advanced care cases.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about diagnostics, recommendations, and outcomes.
- Lead by example in medical decision-making, professionalism, and client communication.
- Guide clinical standards and protocols to ensure consistency and quality of care.
- Serve as a clinical resource for the doctor team on complex cases and medical decisions.
- Partner with hospital leadership to evaluate and refine workflows, best practices, and clinical outcomes.
- Promote a culture of medical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Interest areas include small-animal general practice: wellness exams, preventative care, diagnostics, dental and soft tissue/surgical procedures, advanced care services, client education, and urgent care presentations.
