Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical standard laboratory experience
- License/Certification: ASCP or equivalent certification
- Prior experience with quality control and inspection
- Experience conducting competency testing or serving as a preceptor
- Certification in Point of Care Testing
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry preferred
Skills
Demonstrates knowledge of the population-specific differences and needs of patients in appropriate, specific populations from neonate through adolescence and applies them to practice.
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and co-workers.
Demonstrates support for the mission.

About the Role
The Point of Care Testing Coordinator develops, implements, coordinates and maintains programs to ensure the maintenance of safety and quality standards for Point of Care testing (POCT) throughout all Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Connecticut Children’s Specialty Group (CCSG) locations.
