Medical Laboratory Technologist (FT Nights) - Myrtle Beach

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Tech and Medical Laboratory Scientist at McLeod Health perform critical roles in analyzing biological samples and providing accurate laboratory test results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze biological samples and provide precise and accurate laboratory test results.
• Evaluate validity of results obtained from specimen analysis.
• Follows all safety procedures and protocols.
• Performs routine and pre-routine maintenance.
• Train and document proficiency of assigned employees/students as directed.
• Receive incoming phone calls, document requests for blood draws, and follow through on collection.
• Document and maintain supplies.
• Coordinate daily technical activities and ensure tests are complete and accurate in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Qualified to perform moderate and highly complexity testing as defined by CLIA 88.
• Must obtain MLT/MLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology required.
