About the Role
Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga, and Elmore counties.
The Medical Lab Technologist provides timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by performing laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently. This individual detects unusual conditions and assumes responsibility for problem-solving. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with clinical laboratory training culminating in national certification, as defined by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Board of Registry.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Medical or Clinical Laboratory Sciences from an institution meeting CLIA personnel testing qualifications for moderate and high complexity testing.
- Active ASCP Medical Laboratory Technologist certification (required for Associate degree holders).

- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and relevant laboratory software.
- Strong team leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and propose solutions.
Schedule
Full-time, first shift (day).
