About the role
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will provide laboratory services to meet patient needs, perform diagnostic and monitoring procedures, and maintain laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities
- Performs laboratory procedures in accordance with accepted standards and practices.
- Maintains all chemistry analyzers and provides training to others on proper procedure.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements including State, Federal, and accrediting body regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or Bachelor degree in a laboratory related science (i.e.: microbiology, allied health, etc.) accompanied by an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Current BLS certificate.
- Three years of previous clinical laboratory experience.
Preferred
- Certified as Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS); ASCP, AMT(HHS).
