Medical Laboratory Technician - PRN

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will provide laboratory services under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager or designee.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory procedures to provide information for the diagnosing and monitoring of medical treatment.
• Maintains all chemistry analyzers and provides training to others on proper procedure.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or Bachelor degree in a laboratory related science (i.e.: microbiology, allied health, etc.) accompanied by an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and the accrediting body regulations.
• PREFERRED: Certified as Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS); ASCP, AMT(HHS)
• Three years of previous clinical laboratory experience.
