Medical Laboratory Technician - Per Diem, Days / Evenings - Atlantic Advanced Urgent Care - Clark
About the role
Responsible for a variety of routine and complex technical tasks in the performance of laboratory tests (Core Lab using Sysmex and Roche analyzers) to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area, documenting corrective action to any non-conforming event. Prepares reagents, maintains an adequate supply of materials for test procedures and manages inventory to effectively reduce departmental waste/expense. Exercises clinical judgment in assessing priorities while identifying, problem solving and offering solutions to test systems through the appropriate department channels, i.e. contacts hotline to troubleshoot with a specialist when necessary to resolve the issue or set-up service when appropriate.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred ASCP eligible
- Must have Core Lab using Sysmex and Roche analyzers
- 3 years prior experience or experience in Med lab tech position
- Must provide copy of BS diploma with MT or MLS specified on diploma
- If MT or MLS not specified, must provide transcript
- If foreign diploma, must provide foreign equivalency

Schedule
Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm / Saturday and Sundays 8am-5pm - must be willing to work evenings and rotating weekends / minimum 1 weekend in 6 week period
