Job Summary

Responsible for performing routine hematology analysis and laboratory testing procedures in a regulated environment. This role supports accurate documentation, data review, laboratory operations, and compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform routine analytical procedures and document all testing activities in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Review routine laboratory data to confirm procedures are progressing according to expectations and results are within acceptable tolerances
  • Identify unusual results or potential performance errors, document findings, and escalate concerns to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare buffers, solutions, and data analysis results for upload to the laboratory information management system under the guidance of senior staff
  • Absorb and assist with quality investigations, deviations, and implementation of laboratory procedure updates and process improvements
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned and ensure all activities are properly documented
  • Support onboarding and hands-on training of new laboratory staff in areas of proven competency
  • Communicate clearly, accurately, and promptly with cross-functional stakeholders while supporting safety, quality, and 6S initiatives

The Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Needed For This Role

  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards such as Good Laboratory Practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory documentation, calculations, and data review
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints)
  • Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Some College of American Pathologists and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments laboratory locations may require a Bachelor of Science in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology
  • 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred
  • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and routine analytical procedures
  • Experience working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment and preparing data for the laboratory information management system
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Medical Laboratory Technician license is required

Pay

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $42,700.00 - $89,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).

Schedule

Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
