Medical Laboratory Technician - Atrium Health Charlotte FT
About the role
This position is a full-time, benefits-eligible role at Atrium Health Cabarrus - Lab: Harrisburg. The schedule includes 3/12 hour days/week, every third weekend, and holiday rotation. This position may also rotate to work some shifts at Atrium Health Kannapolis.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area, documenting corrective action to any non-conforming events.
- Prepares reagents and maintains an adequate supply of materials for test procedures, managing inventory to reduce departmental waste/expense.
- Exercises clinical judgment in assessing priorities, identifying, problem-solving, and offering solutions to test systems through appropriate department channels.
- Reviews and revises procedures and documentation related to accreditation, adhering to regulatory requirements for various authorities.
- Maintains clear, real-time communications shift-to-shift and with leadership regarding issues, concerns, and problems affecting patient care or department operations.
- Participates in planning and implementing change through participation in staff meetings, task forces, or projects.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must have an associate degree or equivalent education and training as defined by CLIA. MLT registry eligible or equivalent required within one year of hire. MLT (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent required within one year of hire. MLT (ASCP/AMT) certification through the U.S military medical laboratory training programs by an accredited institution is acceptable.

Pay
Pay range is $24.10 - $36.15 based on eligibility.
