Schedule

  • Option 1: 4-10’s (Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
  • Option 2: 5-8’s (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
  • Must be available to sign up for on-call shifts and provide coverage for other shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and report results within the expected turnaround time to assist healthcare providers in delivering optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform all required equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control testing per departmental procedures.
  • Handle specimen transport, specimen processing for in-house and send-out testing for reference laboratories.
  • Answer telephone calls, review pending logs, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification required (ASCP or AMT) or eligible to take the exam. Must successfully complete certification (ASCP or AMT) within 18 months of hire.
