About the role
The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) will perform and report a wide range of analytical procedures on patient specimens, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. They will also provide excellent patient care, maintain equipment, and document compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex laboratory tests and report results accurately and promptly
- Correlate clinical results, identify patterns of bias, and notify appropriate caregivers of critical values
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, and participate in proficiency testing
- Evaluate and validate new procedures and equipment for the clinical team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field as defined by CLIA
- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, or equivalent by ASCP
Qualifications
- Strong scientific foundation and advanced technical proficiency
