Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and analyses that inform patient diagnosis and treatment
- Collect and handle patient specimens using proper techniques and protocols
- Accurately record and report results through the laboratory information system
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Support quality assurance and participate in proficiency testing
- Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory standards
- Communicate effectively with providers and team members to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with confidence and accountability
Qualifications
- MLS: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- MLT: Associate degree from an accredited program
- ASCP certification required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
